Century Series
Our Premium Line of All-Metallized Films
The Century Series offers building and home owners excellent heat, glare, and fade reduction without a dark tint. Films in this series come with the longest and most comprehensive warranty offered by Solamatrix.
There are three film types in the Century Series:
- Nova
- A spectrally-selective film that is silver in color, available in three levels of darkness (35, 50 & 70% VLT).
Nova's spectrally selective properties and high IR (Infra-Red) absorption offer an economic alternative to more costly, IR absorbing films.
- Signature
- A sputtered Nichrome film that is neutral in color, available in four levels of darkness (20, 35, 45, & 60% VLT).
- Solar Bronze
- A bronze-colored film available in three levels of darkness (20, 35 & 50% VLT).
Film Specifications - Century Series
Film Construction
SUN-GARD's Century films are manufactured using sputter-metallized materials. Sputtering allows the use of high-grade alloys or combinations of alloys which results in the various colors and levels of reflectivity. The mounting adhesive is a weatherable, high-heat resistant, Acrylic Detackafied Pressure Sensitive System, which contains UV screeners and stabilizers. The products are also protected by a durable, UV cured, scratch-resistant coating.

Professionally installed SUN-GARD brand Century Series window films are warranted against the following for 10 years in commercial applications and for the lifetime of the film in residential applications:
- Peeling
- Bubbling
- Rippling
- Cracking
- Adhesive failure
- Delamination
- Demetallization
In addition, SUN-GARD brand Century Series films are warranted for 5 years against glass breakage due to thermal stress and three years against seal failure on dual-pane, insulated glass windows.
